SHIP-HATS projects
SHIP-HATS projects are created under a System within a subscription. They inherit the system’s governance context and provide an organisational layer for managing SHIP-HATS tools.
Purpose of SHIP-HATS projects
SHIP-HATS projects allow agencies to:
- Organise related work under a system
- Manage access and responsibilities through Project Admins (PAs)
- Group and govern tool-specific projects (for example, Jira or GitLab projects)
Each SHIP-HATS project has one or more Project Admins, who manage access and configurations for the associated tool-specific projects.
Relationship to tool-specific projects
A SHIP-HATS project provides the governance and organisational context for tool-specific-specific projects.
- Tool-specific projects are created within individual tools (for example, a Jira project in Jira or a GitLab project in GitLab).
- Each tool-specific project is linked to a SHIP-HATS project.
- Access and permissions are managed within the respective tools.
💡 Tip
Being a Project Admin (PA) or Subscription Admin (SA) in SHIP-HATS does not automatically grant admin access to tool-specific projects. Relevant tool-specific licences and permissions are still required.
