Monitor operational trends
The Operational view in the Unified Quality Dashboard (UQD) helps teams monitor deployment activity and delivery performance across SHIP-HATS systems.
Use this view to track deployment cadence, review delivery trends, and identify potential process bottlenecks before investigating further in the Diagnostic view.
Before you begin
Ensure that:
- You can access the Unified Quality Dashboard (UQD).
- The relevant systems and projects are correctly configured in the platform.

View delivery trends
- Log in to the Console.
- Open Unified Quality Dashboard (UQD).
- Select the Operational tab.
The dashboard displays delivery metrics such as deployment frequency and workflow efficiency across systems.
Filter the data
Use the Controls panel to narrow the dataset.
You can filter by:
| Filter | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Last N Months | Adjust the time window for the displayed metrics. |
| Agency | View metrics for a specific agency. |
| DGP Subsystem | Focus on a specific subsystem. |
| Jira Project | View metrics for a particular Jira project. |
| GitLab Group Path | Limit results to specific GitLab repositories. |
Filtering helps teams analyse delivery trends for specific systems or projects.
Analyse deployment cadence
Review the Deployment Cadence section to understand how frequently changes are deployed.
Look for:
- Stable or increasing Production Deployment Frequency
- Regular successful deployment periods
- Consistent non-production deployments
Irregular or declining cadence may indicate release instability or workflow delays.
Review flow efficiency
Use the Flow Efficiency section to evaluate development workflow performance.
Key indicators include:
- Merged MR Cycle Time — longer cycle times may indicate review bottlenecks.
- MR Pipeline Duration — slower pipelines can delay deployments.
- Merged Merge Requests — reduced throughput may signal reduced development velocity.
These metrics help teams identify workflow friction in development or CI/CD pipelines.
Investigate delivery slowdowns
If you notice declining deployment cadence or reduced flow efficiency:
- Note the affected system or project.
- Identify the relevant time period using filters.
- Switch to the Diagnostic view to analyse root causes.
