Choose a SonarQube edition

Subscription Admins (SAs) can choose the appropriate SonarQube edition when subscribing to SonarQube through SHIP-HATS.

SHIP-HATS offers the following editions:

• SonarQube Community Edition
• SonarQube Enterprise Edition

Prerequisites

Ensure the following:

• You are a Subscription Admin (SA) for the SHIP-HATS subscription.
• Your subscription includes SonarQube.

Steps

1. Review the capabilities of the available SonarQube editions.

2. Determine the requirements of your project, such as:

   • Size of the codebase
   • Frequency of code scans
   • Need for advanced security analysis or reporting
   • Need for concurrent scans

3. Choose the appropriate edition:

   • Select Community Edition for experimental projects or smaller codebases.
   • Select Enterprise Edition for production systems or projects that require advanced analysis features.

4. During subscription, specify the selected SonarQube edition.

5. Submit the subscription request.

Things to know

• Community Edition is free but must still be included in the SHIP-HATS subscription.
• Enterprise Edition is a paid option.
• Enterprise usage is billed based on Lines of Code (LOC) analysed.
