Ownself Gather (Trigger)
Beta Feature: This node is currently in beta. Features and functionality may be subject to changes.
The Ownself Gather Trigger Node enables your workflow to receive events from Ownself Gather (OG), GovTech’s Case Management platform. When a relevant event occurs in Ownself Gather (such as case interactions or case updates), the configured webhook triggers your workflow to process the event.
Note: Ownself Gather (OG) is a DIY tool to gather cases in one place for easier tracking and coordination. For an overview of all trigger nodes, see Configure Workflow Trigger.
Ownself Gather Support: For any enquiries or issues related to Ownself Gather, please reach out to the Ownself Gather team via gather.gov.sg/support.
How Does It Work?
The Ownself Gather Trigger Node acts as a webhook endpoint that receives POST requests whenever an event occurs in the Ownself Gather (OG) platform. It processes the incoming data and makes it available to subsequent nodes in your workflow.
Setup Steps:
- Click on Select Input
- Choose Ownself Gather as the trigger node
- Open the trigger node Settings
- Copy the webhook endpoint URL provided by the trigger node
- In Ownself Gather (OG), configure the webhook to point to the Workflow webhook endpoint URL
- Publish your workflow to activate the webhook connection
- Each Ownself Gather event will now send a webhook POST request to trigger the workflow automatically
Output:
The Ownself Gather Trigger Node returns the event data in the format provided by Ownself Gather:

}Connection & Mock Data
The Ownself Gather Trigger supports connecting to an Ownself Gather case type to automatically generate mock data for simulation. This allows you to test your workflow without waiting for actual Ownself Gather events.
Configuration
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Case Type UUID | The UUID of the case type in Ownself Gather. Used to fetch the field schema. |
| API Key | Your Ownself Gather API key for authentication. |
| Normalize field labels | When enabled, converts field names to lowercase with underscores (e.g., “Customer Name” becomes “customer_name”). |
Retrieving Case Type UUID
- Login to https://gather.gov.sg
- Select the App
- Click on Manage your case types

- Click on the Edit button of the desired Case Type

- Copy the UUID from the URL on the browser (e.g.
gather.gov.sg/cms/<app>/case-type/<case_type_uuid>)

Generating Mock Data
- Enter your Case Type UUID and API Key
- Optionally enable Normalize field labels for consistent field naming
- Click the Connect button
- Workflow will fetch the case type schema from Ownself Gather and populate mock data based on the field types
The generated mock data appears in the Mock Response section and is used when you run simulations. This allows you to test your workflow with realistic data structures matching your actual Ownself Gather case type.
Tip: Enable “Normalize field labels” to ensure consistent field naming across your workflow. This converts spaces to underscores and lowercases all field names.
Runtime URL
The trigger node provides runtime URLs for invoking your workflow in different environments:
- Staging URL: Used for testing in the staging environment
- Production URL: Used for live production workflows
The URL format indicates the specific branch or release version:
mainbranch for development- Release versions (e.g.,
release/1.0.0) for production deployments
Note: The endpoints below are for Lite tier reference only. Always refer to the endpoint URL shown in your node settings.
| Environment | Endpoint URL |
|---|---|
| Staging | https://lite.staging.oes.opus.gov.sg/api/gathersg/<namespace-id>/<project-id>/<entity-id>?branch=main |
| Production | https://lite.production.oes.opus.gov.sg/api/gathersg/<namespace-id>/<project-id>/<entity-id>?branch=main |
Query Parameters:
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
branch |
The branch or release version (e.g., main, release/1.0.0) |
identifier |
Optional. Custom identifier that appears in the monitoring page for easier tracking |

Use Ownself Gather Trigger Node when:
- You need to automate processing of case management events.
- You are using Ownself Gather (OG) for case management and want to trigger workflows.
- You want to integrate case interactions with backend systems, databases, or notifications.
- You need real-time processing of case events (e.g., case escalations, case follow-ups, service updates).
- You want to automate customer service workflows and response management.
