Log in to Jira Cloud

To access Jira projects within your SHIP-HATS subscriptions, you must use a SHIP-HATS Atlassian account authenticated via TechPass.

Prerequisites

Ensure you have the following:

• Atlassian (Jira & Confluence) licence under at least one SHIP-HATS subscription. See, View your licence details. If you don’t have, Contact the Subscription Admin (SA) of the relevant subscription to request access.

• You have an active TechPass account.

• Your TechPass email matches the email used for your SHIP-HATS Atlassian account.

  You do not need the licence under a specific SHIP-HATS subscription.
  However, the licence must be provisioned to you via one of your subscriptions before you can access Jira or Confluence.

First-time access (create SHIP-HATS Atlassian account)

If this is your first time accessing Jira or Confluence via SHIP-HATS, you must create your SHIP-HATS Atlassian account.

Step 1: Check if you already have an account

1. Go to Atlassian Cloud.
2. Click Can’t log in.
3. Enter your TechPass email address.

• If you are prompted to reset your password, you already have an account.
• If not, continue with the steps below to create one.

Step 2: Create your Atlassian account

1. Go to Atlassian Cloud.
   

2. Enter your TechPass email address and click Continue.

3. Click Sign up.

   Atlassian sends a confirmation email to verify that you own this email account.

   

4. To set up your account, enter your Full name, create a Password and click Continue.

   Remember this password as you may require it for future logins.

   

Step 3: Skip Atlassian 2FA and authenticate using TechPass

On first login, Atlassian may prompt you to enable two-step verification (2FA).

Since SHIP-HATS users authenticate using TechPass (SSO), you do not need to set up Atlassian 2FA.

1. Click Continue without two-step verification.
2. Click Verify.
3. Click Log in to authenticate using TechPass.

After successful authentication, you can access Jira Cloud and Confluence Cloud.

Subsequent logins

Prerequisites

• An active SHIP-HATS Atlassian account. If your account is disabled, submit the SHIP-HATS Atlassian user account reactivation form.
• Your TechPass email must match the email used in your SHIP-HATS Atlassian account.

Important:

• Your TechPass email must match the email in your SHIP-HATS Atlassian account for successful SSO login.
• If your TechPass email has changed, update your Atlassian account email immediately:
  https://support.atlassian.com/atlassian-cloud/kb/change-atlassian-account-email-addresses/
• If the emails do not match, SSO login will fail.

Log in to Jira and Confluence

1. Go to Atlassian Cloud.

2. Enter your TechPass email address and click Continue.

3. If prompted, enter your password.

4. Select your TechPass account and click Verify.

5. Click Log in to complete authentication.

   

You are redirected to Jira Cloud or Confluence Cloud.

If the emails do not match, SSO login will fail.

Troubleshooting

• If your SHIP-HATS Atlassian account is disabled, submit the SHIP-HATS Atlassian user account reactivation form.
• If you experience access issues, refer to Jira Cloud access issues.
