Jira plugins
Plugins extend Atlassian Cloud (Jira and Confluence) with features such as workflows, reports, dashboards, and integrations.
The SHIP-HATS team approves plugins only if they meet security, reliability, and operational standards.
Recommendation
Use Jira and Confluence built-in features whenever possible. Request plugins only if:
- The core product does not provide the required functionality.
- The plugin benefits multiple agencies.
In SHIP-HATS, Jira and Confluence plugins fall into two categories: Free plugins and Paid plugins. All plugins must meet the plugin evaluation criteria.
Plugins are available only if your subscription includes the Atlassian shared model (Jira & Confluence).
Free plugins
- SHIP-HATS may remove plugins at any time if risks arise.
- No SLA is provided.
Free plugins for Confluence

Free plugins for Jira

Paid plugins
Paid plugins are those not included in the Free plugins list.
- Agencies can request these plugins through the SHIP-HATS team.
- The SHIP-HATS team considers plugin requests only if the demand is sufficient and the plugin meets the plugin evaluation criteria.
- If approved, the plugin is enabled on a 30-day trial basis for the requesting users only (not agency-wide).
- During the trial, SHIP-HATS conducts a poll among trial users to measure adoption and usage.
- If adoption is strong, SHIP-HATS funds the plugin and enables it for all Atlassian shared model users at no cost.
- If adoption is weak, agencies can still purchase the plugin through the Atlassian dedicated model.
- SHIP-HATS provides no SLA for plugin support.

draw.io lockdown mode
SHIP-HATS has enabled the lockdown flag ("lockdown": true) to enhance the security of the plugin and isolate the plugin’s dataflow.
- Impact: Real-time collaborative editing and smart templates are disabled. Users can continue to create, edit, and save diagrams individually.
- Who is impacted: All Confluence users using draw.io.
- Action recommended: Co-ordinate edits so that only one person updates a diagram at a time, or save separate versions to avoid overwriting changes.

Xray plugins are not enabled by default. To activate any Xray plugin listed above, raise a support ticket. Our support team will enable the appropriate configuration for your project.
Request plugins
The below information applies only to the Atlassian shared model.
Steps
Refer to the available plugins list and check if the plugin you need is already available.
If the plugin is not available, verify if it meets the Plugin evaluation criteria.
Submit a service request.
SHIP-HATS team reviews the request.
If it passes the review, SHIP-HATS checks:
- If Atlassian offers the plugin for free. If yes, it is added to the shared model for all users.
- If it is a paid plugin, and if the demand is high is for this, SHIP-HATS may offer it for a 30-day trial, only to requesting users.
At the end of the trial, SHIP-HATS conducts a poll for the participating users to decide the next steps:
- If adoption is strong for this trial plugin, SHIP-HATS offers it to all agencies at no extra cost.
- If adoption is low, the trial plugin is removed. Agencies who still want it can consider including Atlassian dedicated model in their subscription.
Plugin evaluation criteria
Before a plugin is added to the Atlassian shared model, SHIP-HATS evaluates it to protect platform security, maintain reliability, and ensure value for all users.
A plugin must meet our cybersecurity criteria, our reliability and reputation criteria, or both.
Cybersecurity criteria
This ensures the plugin does not introduce vulnerabilities or unsafe dependencies.

| Compliance certifications | Plugin must be certified for SOC2 Type 2. It must also have CSASTAR or one of the following ISO certifications: - ISO 27001 - ISO 27017 - ISO 27018 |
Reliability and reputation criteria
This ensures the plugin comes from a trusted vendor, have good reviews, and show active support.
