Delete Nexus repositories
Subscription Admins (SAs) and Project Admins (PAs) can request the deletion of Nexus repositories that are no longer required.
Since repositories may contain important artefacts, the deletion request must be submitted through a Service Request (SR).
Important
- Deleting a Nexus repository permanently removes all stored artefacts and metadata.
- This action cannot be undone.
- Ensure all required artefacts are downloaded or backed up before submitting the deletion request.
Prerequisites
Ensure the following:
- You are a Subscription Admin (SA) for the subscription, or a Project Admin (PA) for a SHIP-HATS project within the subscription.
- The repository is no longer required by your team or agency.
Steps
Download any artefacts that must be retained from the repository.
In Console, go to Products > SHIP-HATS, and select the required subscription to open the Workspace.
For detailed steps, see Access Workspace.
Click Tools > Nexus Repo.
Select the required SHIP-HATS project.
Identify the repository name that needs to be deleted.
Submit a Service Request to request repository deletion:
6.1 Go to the SHIP-HATS Service Desk.
6.2 Select the appropriate request category.
6.3 Provide the required details such as:
- Agency name
- Subscription name
- SHIP-HATS project name
- Repository name
- Reason for deletion
Submit the request.
What happens next
- The SHIP-HATS team reviews the request.
- Once approved, the Nexus repository is deleted.
- All artefacts stored in the repository are permanently removed.
