Authenticate CI/CD pipelines
Use a CI token to authenticate automated pipelines and workflows to Nexus Repository Pro.
CI tokens are designed for secure, non-interactive authentication.
Prerequisites
Ensure the following:
- Your project has Nexus Repository Pro provisioned.
- Your CI/CD pipeline is configured for your project.
- You have the CI token for your repository.
Steps
Store the CI token securely in your CI/CD pipeline as a protected variable or secret.
Configure your pipeline to use the token when publishing or retrieving artefacts.
- Run your pipeline.
The pipeline authenticates and interacts with Nexus Repository Pro.
Things to note
- Do not hard-code tokens in source code.
- Always store tokens in secure variables.
- Use CI tokens only for automation.
