Create GitLab subgroups and projects
Organise your GitLab group into subgroups and projects to structure repositories and manage access.
Create subgroups and projects directly in GitLab.
Prerequisites
Ensure the following:
- A GitLab group exists for the SHIP-HATS project.
See Create GitLab group. - You have the Owner or Maintainer role for the GitLab group.
Before you begin
- Subgroups and projects inherit permissions and visibility from the parent group unless configured otherwise.
- Console displays only the first three subgroups or projects for the SHIP-HATS project.
View additional resources directly in GitLab.
Steps
- In Console, go to Products > SHIP-HATS, and select your subscription to open the Workspace.
See Access Workspace. - Go to Tools > GitLab.
- Select the SHIP-HATS project.
- Click the GitLab group name to open GitLab.
- In GitLab, create the required subgroups or projects.
