Search APIs (Beta)
The SearchSG APIs allow agencies and platform teams to programmatically access SearchSG’s semantic search, AI-powered answers, structured directory search, and recommendation capabilities.
These APIs are designed for backend server-to-server integrations.
Supported Products:
- Website Search
- Directory Search (Work in Progress)
- SmartRecommend (Coming soon)
Prerequisites
Before calling the Search APIs:
Follow the Admin Portal User Guide to complete:
- Project setup
- Index creation
- Application creation
Ensure your index content has been been successfully indexed and is searchable.
Authentication
Search APIs require a Site Access Key to authenticate requests and query applications within a site.
To generate or retrieve your access keys:
- Navigate to SearchSG Admin Portal → Workspace → Site Settings → Site Access Keys
