Sign up for pCloudy account

Register for a pCloudy account to access and manage mobile devices for testing via the SHIP-HATS platform.

Why sign up

• Signing up creates your pCloudy account.
• pCloudy account lets you:
  • Access shared or dedicated mobile devices.
  • Run mobile automation through GitLab CI pipelines.
• If authorised, you can manage devices centrally via the SHIP-HATS pCloudy portal.

Before you begin

The SHIP-HATS pCloudy sign-up process has two steps:

1. Create a pCloudy account – registers your account in pCloudy. The account exists but is inactive; you cannot log in or use devices yet.
2. Submit a Service Request (SR) for approval – When you submit this, SHIP-HATS verifies your subscription and SA approval, then activates your account, granting access to devices. This can be done by the requesting user or by the SA.

Key point: Account creation (Step 1) and SHIP-HATS approval (Step 2) are separate. You need both to access SHIP-HATS devices.

Prerequisites

1. Subscription confirmation: Verify with your SA that your subscription includes pCloudy.
2. SA approval:
   • If you submit the SR, you must have the SA’s approval email ready to attach.
   • If the SA submits the SR, there is no need to attach the approval email.
3. User details: Name and TechPass email ID.
4. Subscription/project details for SR:
   • Agency name
   • Subscription name and number
   • Project name
   • Device information (OS and version)

Steps

Step 1: Create pCloudy account (registration)

1. Go to https://ship-hats.pcloudy.com.

2. Click Sign up.

3. Enter your Name, E-Mail Address, and Password.

4. Click Sign up.

   • A message confirms that you can log in after SHIP-HATS approves your account.

5. Click OK.

   Your account is registered now but you cannot log in or access devices until SHIP-HATS approves your SR.

Step 2: Submit a Service Request (SR) for approval

This step can be completed by the requesting user or the SA of the corresponding subscription.

1. Gather all details listed in Prerequisites.

2. Submit a Service Request with:

   • Registration details from Step 1.
   • SA approval email (if required).

Result

• SHIP-HATS receives your pCloudy account registration request and approval details.
• After approval, your account is activated, and you can log in and access devices.
