Developing Your Web App on Optical Flex Full Stack
Prerequisites
- You should have at least 1x Account with access to SHIPHATS GitLab.
Creating Your Web Application
Upon filling up the Optical onboarding form, you will be provided with an optical-public-web repository in your Agency’s GitLab group in the Optical namespace.
During onboarding, you may also request for your instance of Optical to come with the Directus NextJS Starter Kit.

FAQ: What if my developers (or vendors) don’t have any SHIPHATs GitLab accounts?
You can submit a service request to set up mirroring of
mainin the provided repository to your own repository. In the service request, you will be required to provide the link to your own repository and accompanying access tokens (if any).
Deploying Your Web Application to Staging
Before your web application can be deployed, you web applications will need to pass the checks included in the Optical provided pipeline (coming soon). The checks should include but are not limited to the ones listed below. Optical reserves the right to modify the list of code scanning tools at any time based on our platform’s security posture.

Promoting Your Web Application to Production
Before you can deploy your web application to the Optical production environment, your web application will have to pass Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing managed by you.
