Get a trial StackOps Elastic subscription (Serverless)
New users without an existing StackOps subscription can get a 14-day free trial of StackOps Elastic (non-production project).
The trial subscription is suitable for agencies that intend to use StackOps Elastic Serverless as a proof-of-concept (POC) for some use case. For personal testing and sandboxing, use the Elastic Cloud trial directly instead.
Note: Trial projects are designated as non-production and will remain so during the conversion process. Provisioning of production resources is only supported after transitioning to a paid subscription.
Before you begin
Before submitting a StackOps Elastic trial request, make sure that you meet the following requirements:
- You have never had a StackOps Elastic Serverless trial subscription before.
- You do not have an existing StackOps subscription.
- You have a TechPass account to access Console, which is where you can manage the StackOps subscription. If not, your TechPass account will be automatically created when you submit a trial request.
Submitting a trial request

To sign up for a trial:
Fill out the StackOps Elastic Trial Onboarding Form with the following information:

Next steps
Once the StackOps Elastic Serverless project is provisioned, you can begin using it to monitor your applications. There are two main user interfaces:
- Console—The interface for managing your StackOps subscription and project.
- Kibana—The Elastic-provided interface for visualising, analysing, managing, and monitoring data. The Kibana URL is unique to each project.
Here are some next steps:
- Manage and add users via Console.
- Get the Kibana URL and log in.
- Get started with monitoring by following the Serverless Trial Guide.
Note:
- Users cannot delete or add new projects while on a trial subscription.
- During trial, the project will be open to all traffic.
Your 14-day trial journey
The StackOps Elastic Serverless trial is structured as a progressive 14-day journey that guides agencies through setting up end-to-end observability:
| Stage | Focus | What you will achieve |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Synthetic Monitoring | Outside-in health checks | HTTP/browser pings from global or private locations to detect outages before users do |
| 2. Cloud Monitoring | Inside-out infrastructure visibility | EC2 metrics and logs via Elastic Agent or agentless Managed Integrations |
| 3. Application Monitoring | Code-level tracing | APM with OpenTelemetry (EDOT) for Java/.NET, plus Nginx and IIS web server monitoring |
| 4. SaaS Monitoring | Third-party health tracking | HTTP ping monitors with response body validation for external SaaS status pages |
| 5. Day 2 Operations | Closed-loop incident management | Alerts, cases, Discover, personalised dashboards, and distributed trace analysis |
End of trial
After 14 days, the StackOps Elastic Serverless trial will automatically end. Your subscription account and trial project will be terminated. Within the 14 days, you can convert to a paid subscription in order to keep using StackOps Elastic Serverless. The existing project will remain as non-production, but you can create a new production project on a paid subscription.
Converting to a paid subscription
Before the trial expires, you can convert to a paid subscription to keep using StackOps Elastic Serverless. Approval from your agency’s CIO or an authorised delegate is required to subscribe to StackOps.
